The 9th China-Germany Forum on Economy and Technology opened on Jul. 9th in Berlin where Mr. Xu Qiang, Director of NECC and Mr.Torsten, Programme Director of International Cooperation from GIZ, signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Improvement.

Mr. Torsten at first welcomed Director Xu’s visit and then expressed his satisfaction over multiple administrative cooperation projects under Chinese and German governmental framework; he regarded the MOU endorsement as a thing of great necessity to beef up mutual cooperation.

Director Xu indicated that this MOU endorsement signified a smoother implementation of joint statement and cooperation outline of both sides as well as a greater in-depth cooperation in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement on Chinese and German governmental level, to jointly facilitate the development of mutual energy conservation and environmental protection industry.
